Gen. Luna wins in CMCI 2022

In this year’s Communities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI), LGU Gen. Luna of Surigao del Norte garnered two awards: First Place in Infrastructure and Second Place in Economic Dynamism, among its category of 5th – 6th class municipalities in the Philippines. LGU Gen. Luna is headed by the Municipal Mayor Sol Forcadilla Matugas, Vice Mayor Romina R. Sajulga and the Sangguniang Bayan Members. Said awards were given during the 10th CMCS Awards, the annual most coveted event of local chief executives on competitiveness in the country.

The CMCI Survey is based upon the five pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency, and Innovation. For every pillar, top 10 performers per category are chosen based on their scores in the survey. For every participating LGU, the sum of their scores on the five pillars is considered to come up with the Most Competitive Provinces, Cities and Municipalities.
